The presentation is a joint collaboration with renowned fashion photographer Ruvan (www.ruvan.com), featuring Jules Kim (www.bijulesnyc.com) and the Scream and Spirit collection. Limited edition photographs will be exhibited as well as 4x6 photos to be distributed as special gifts for guests. The exhibition is curated by the boutique owner, Stephanie Pappas of EVA New York, who will further her mission to combine fashion and art as the gallery/retail aspect works as an incubator for avant-garde designers.
bijules. New York-based designer Jules Kim of Bijules creates aesthetically powerful pieces biannually. In the recent year, she has successfully worked alongside many A-list performers designing custom made jewelry for the stage, music videos and red carpets for Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Fergie, Kelis and The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s.
ruvan. Based in New York City, photographer Ruvan Wijesooriya is known for exhibitions where his audience takes home the works. As inhibitions are dropped, image-by-image is peeled down from the exhibition walls until nothing remains. With this gesture Ruvan suggests that an image is never for him to keep, his subjects caught in some transitional moment that he claims no ownership over. He has had solo exhibitions in London and Barcelona, and participated in numerous group-shows worldwide. In the last year he has completed commissioned projects for Paul Smith, The Museum of Modern Art and the hit television show, Gossip Girl.
